Rules and Regulations

All Ragnarok Servers have rules and regulations that players must follow. These rules are in place because we want to make sure that players are enjoying themselves, and that they're not being harassed by other players, or doing anything that might bother other players or staff. Ideally the rules we set are typically more guidelines, because while we don't expect players to be perfect, there is a bit of common sense that we assume all players. We believe that following the rules, exercising good judgement and common sense will make the server live for as long as there are players, and that the players are enjoying themselves without feeling like they may be doing something wrong. Two golden rules that apply everywhere are:

  • Success-RO staff will never give away zeny or item, so please do not ask.
  • Success-RO staff will never ask for your account name, password, or other personal information. If someone says otherwise, let the Staff know immediately.

If you encounter any of these, immediately inform any staff you can, and we'll look into it. There's nothing more frustrating than losing your items (or worse, your account!) to some phisher. We understand that, and the quicker we put a stop to these kinds of players, the better the experience will be for everyone!

Forum Rules

  • English is our main language. Therefore, please use English in the global chat channels (main, trade, recruit, support). This is less of a rule and more of a guideline. It helps us help you better if we're able to convey our messages in the same language. If for some reason a player doesn't speak that language, we can compromise and convey messages to each other by other means (translation software, for example.)
  • Strictly NO marketing on the forum for other Ragnarok Servers/Services. Please keep that in private messages, or outside of the SuccessRO forum. We appreciate your love for the game, (I even play on other servers sometimes) but we'd prefer if you keep that kind of stuff private, out of respect for our server.
  • Do not harass or insult people. Treat them the way you'd like to be treated! This is more of a guideline. Just be a nice, chill person. In my experiences that's the quickest way to make friends in any game.
  • Please do not spam forum threads with inappropriate pictures or anything of the sort. Keep it classy.
  • Impersonating any Game Master, Player or Guild may result in permanent ban. Be yourself!
  • Spreading any false rumors may lead to punishment.
  • When making threads, please make sure they are made in their appropriate sections (you won't find much help on your Whitesmith if you're asking in an Sniper section)
  • Please do not *troll in threads.

* Trolling is the act of going into a forum thread, and intentionally derailing the topic of the thread, with the intention of provoking other members.

In-Game Rules

  • Impersonating any Game Master, Player or Guild may result in permanent ban. Be yourself!
  • Use of 3rd Party Programs such as Keyboard/Mouse Macros, Hacks or Bots are not allowed, use of such programs will result in a permanent ban. Discussion about the same is also somewhat prohibited, though punishment for discussion of such is not as severe.
  • Do not harass or insult people. Treat them the way you'd like to be treated! This is more of a guideline. Just be a nice, chill person. In my experiences that's the quickest way to make friends in any game.
  • Strictly NO marketing in-game for other Ragnarok Servers/Services. Please keep that in private messages, or outside of SuccessRO. We appreciate your love for the game, (I even play on other servers sometimes) but we'd prefer if you keep that kind of stuff private, out of respect for our server.
  • English is our main language. Therefore, please use English in the global chat channels (main, trade, recruit, support).
  • Do not spam or flood any chat channel. We appreciate your enthusiasm, but some people may find it bothersome to converse with other players. Seeing the same chatlines over and over isn't exactly grounds for an interesting conversation.
  • Use the relevant channel for chat/trade/recruit. This keeps things organized. Wouldn't want to trade 500 ygg berries in a Recruitment channel, would we? It also spaces out the kinds of chat that you see in game (don't want to see people buying/selling things when you're just trying to confess your undying love to that one girl you've been partying with for months, kind of ruins the mood a bit, eh?)
  • Discussions involving politics or religion are to be avoided in global chat. This is a video game, we're here to have fun, after all!
  • Do not obstruct or stand on top of NPCs or Vendors. It's a bit of a hassle trying to click around it, so it can be obnoxious at times.
  • Do not spam skills in Towns.
  • Do not misuse or exploit bugs. They are to be reported as soon as possible to a staff member. We want to keep the game running smooth and without any hitches, so these exploits/bugs must be squashed.
  • Killstealing is strictly prohibited. We do have @noks, which prevents kill stealing.
  • Monsters belong to players as long as these are attacked or attacking the player.
  • Do not scam in trade or in general.
  • Do not *Grief.

* A griefer is a player in a multiplayer video game who deliberately irritates and harasses other players within the game, using aspects of the game in unintended way.
